An "Alternative" To The Candidate Diaries
Mon Mar 10, 2008 at 06:24:32 PM PDT
I know I need a break from the onslaught of candidate diaries here from time to time. The amount of nonsense, vitriol, and childish screaming gets tiring.

UPDATE: HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON WINS OHIO.
This is not an Obama Diary.

As the title states, this diary has nothing to do with Obama. So if you're here to read about or post about him, you can feel free to stop reading now.
Edwards, Obama, Hillary and Impeachment!
Mon Nov 12, 2007 at 12:02:42 PM PDT
Primary season or not, the shock and awe hit diaries are getting out of hand. From the "Dear candidate, listen to me" diaries to the " Mine good, your’s evil" it is just getting to the point of unreadable.
Why are hit diaries making the rec list? Is this really what we want the top stories to be coming from Dkos?
Cheers & Jeers appears safe, who's next? (I'm not asking)
Tue Oct 09, 2007 at 05:11:11 PM PDT
I understand that the effort to save the Cheers and Jeers postings is backed by Kos, but it is somewhat frustrating to see all of the fundraising without a mention of anyone else who may be in similar, if not worse situations.
I personally don't know Bill. I also don't know what line of work he is in. The reason for Bill being between jobs is also unknown to me, and it's really not my business nor my concern aside from the fact that I hate to see anyone out of work. I've enjoyed reading C&J from time to time, and spend time every day here reading and gaining knowledge and insight from everyone that posts here. I'm not a regular commenter, or diary writer. No, I'm much happier to read the more informed and educated opinions and pieces by the rest of you.
A Request For The Impeachment Crowd
Sun Jun 24, 2007 at 06:44:19 PM PDT
First, a disclaimer: I am for impeachment at any time. I believe that crimes have been committed and are worthy of impeachment.
That being said, I am really not informed enough about the legalities and processes of impeachment to know whether or not a solid case can be made at this time. (Note: I am not claiming that there isn't, just stating my lack of complete understanding of the facts and procedures.) Most of the pro-impeachment diaries, though with many exceptions, are more rant in nature than substance and facts.
US Contractor Killed by US Troops
Sat Feb 10, 2007 at 06:31:18 PM PDT
Looks like we really don't know who's killing who: From This article
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - U.S. forces shot and killed a civilian contract truck driver at Camp Anaconda, a huge air base north of Baghdad, the military said Saturday.
Not to say it's not a daily struggle over there, but can't we keep from killing our own contractors? Sadly, this is just one of many incidents that will fly beneath the MSM radar.
The Walker-Martin Funeral Home in Chesaning, Mich., posted an obituary on its Web site Saturday saying that a man named Donald Tolfree of nearby Owosso, Mich., had been killed Monday in Balad, Iraq, where he was employed as a civilian contractor.
It's time to get every US citizen out now.
A New Blog For Political Youth
Wed Jan 31, 2007 at 08:35:06 AM PDT
First things first, I want to thank those who were helpful and generous in their response to my diary about young readers being blocked due to language issues and the filters a great number of parents place on their browsing.
As a result, I have created a blog that will be content safe and directed at teen issues, mainly political in nature.
Here's the link: Politics For The Youth Of America
A Plea From A Parent Of A Teen!
Tue Jan 30, 2007 at 05:57:43 AM PDT
I have a 13 year old son who is now getting his feet wet in political learnings. I've tried to give him the opportunity to read and research various political issues from as many sources as possible. DKos is a great source to witness excellent political discourse and varying viewpoints. For this reason, I want him to be a member here, and be able to ask questions and have input from his perspective.
