Just finished watching John Edwards during a Town Hall in Iowa. He was so direct and his answers were so sincere, I thought I was in another country, another time, when people asked real questions and got real answers. I have become rather cynical after working for Gore and Kerry's campaigns and seeing the elections stolen, and the unexplicable complacency of the democratic establishment.

There is now a memorial to Molly Ivins on CSPAN2.  Do not miss it.

Sorry to call this a diary. I checked the posts and nobody had it on.  They announced Yearly Kos on CSPAN2. I guess we will be staying up late tonight.  

I was  very surprised to see "Red" from Firedoglake on CSPAN this morning. She was great! Are bloggers going mainstream?  We have seen DKOS (Keith Olberman), My Left Wing (Fox News)...now that takes courage!  and other "crazy loonies" from the left. They all seem so rational and well informed.  Even the blogger for the right was also not a lunatic... Maybe they will discover that we are not irrelevant and can contribute to the public discourse.  

 

I am sorry to use my diary to ask for help. I had problems accessing her blog after My Left Wing went down. Now I am being banned from her blog, Eschaton, Yellow Dog, and Media Matters. Is it possible that someone got my identity and is using it to get into those blogs.

Please help me! I am not a computer expert. I miss my Saturday cartoons in Yellow Dog! If I get banned from Daily Kos where do I go...!

If anyone has any idea why this happened... let me know. I will be forever grateful.

I am terribly discouraged. The leader of the democratic party is not showing courage when it really counts! If we had a friendly TV station anywhere we should get Gov. Cuomo on! Remember his memorable speech at the Democratic Convention? He spoke of the real American Dream , which unites us under one flag, a people always dreaming of better things to come.  He spoke to our better angels, to our selfless patriotism. The country has never been more divided than under the "uniter" president. Cuomo's speech is still more relevant today.    

We need someone other than Dean, and Gore...the "liberal" press continues to dismiss him. There are no eloquent speakers in either party. Frist is really pathetic, Reid stops talking in the middle of a sentence, looking for words... Pelosi's style is cold,she is not compelling. She seems afraid to say something wrong! If we are looking for a progressive VOICE none better than Cuomo. Gov.Cuomo could make creme brule out of all of them!

From 7:00 AM CSPAN has had a call in about the rise of blogs. There is a great discussion on blogging, and great things are being said about blogs. You must try to get it now! That is the reason this entry is too short.

DKos is right up there... most of the progressive callers blog with DKos. IT IS A MUST WATCH.  Even liberarians are supporting liberal blogs.  IT IS GREAT! Thank God for CSPAN and our blogs.

Once again the press is poised to ignore a major speech by Al Gore. I have been watching CNN and MSNBC and no mention of his coming speech. CSPAN which is covering it live at 12 Noon. Let us call and write to CNN and MSNBC and ask them why they do not think this is "news."  We know the NFL and the Golden Globe are really important to the American people.... but Gore defending the Constitution should also be covered.  Make sure you get in touch with them before 12 noon.

We know that after the speech they will have brief quotes, showing what a wild liberal he is, and how he is out of touch with reality... The press has consistently ignored Gore since he won Florida,and they failed to report it! They will continue to do it unless we show them we care that our Civil Rights and our Constitution were trampled on. We must continue to tell them we did not "get over it" yet. These unprincipled neofascists should have been stopped then... They were not taken to task by the press and the people, we are all paying the price now.  

I SAW A DEMOCRAT TRYING TO ATTACK CARL ROVE FOR HIS COMMENTS ON WEDNESDAY... THE HOST WAS SKILLFULLY TRYING TO MAKE HER SAY THAT ALL DEMOCRATS WERE LIKE MICHAEL MOORE, DEAN AND MOVEON.ORG. THOSE HORRIBLE TRAITORS... YOU MAY INCLUDE AL GORE HERE TOO... HE IS VERY CHUMMY WITH MOVEON.ORG...! AND SHE WAS TRYING TO DEFEND HERSELF AGAINS SUCH AN ACCUSATION! WHAT IS WRONG WITH DEMOCRATS! MOVEON AND MICHAEL MOORE GOT MORE PEOPLE TO THE POLLS THAN ALL THEIR MISGUIDED PHONEY RETHORIC... I FEEL LIKE CHANGING MY REGISTRATION TO... ANOTHER PLANET!
