FISA Fight: Accountability

Blue America PAC is branching out from just helping to elect the good guys with this ad, targetting Blue Dog Democrat Chris Carney for his support of giving the Bush administration and the telcos a pass for illegally spying on Americans.

Spying on Americans illegally IS un-American. Good for Blue America for pointing that out. Carney was one of five Blue Dogs who broke with the majority back in February when the House passed the RESTORE Act, an amnesty-free approach to FISA modernization. Carney promised to be a great pick-up for us in 2006, but we didn't help get him elected to be sold out in his first term, as Stoller points out at Open Left.
