Those cut and run republicans [Mmmm...fresh poll.]

Let me go on the record to say that I think it's despicable of Duncan Hunter to suggest that we should retreat from Iraq in shame. There's simply no other way to read their resolution.
RESOLUTION

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that
the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately.

Resolved, That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces
in Iraq be terminated immediately.

How could they?

Jack Murtha, for example, wanted to allow for an expeditionary force for the region to provide the people of Iraq the help they might need in the days ahead.

Not Hunter, though. He apparently thinks we should simply abandon the Iraqis in their time of need. We need to cry out against this in editorials and letters to the editor across the nation.

I think we should all contact Duncan Hunter's office and the media and tell them that Hunter should peddle surrender somewhere else. Like France.

I mean, the only other possible option is that Hunter would have to say he didn't mean for this resolution to pass and, come on, that would just be horrible, to be playing these sorts of political games while our soldiers are in combat.
